Physical Education and Sports

Parkfielders are passionate about sports! We have a wide range of teams that compete against other schools across Middleton and Rochdale, as well as regular house competitions where pupils challenge each other and earn points for their teams.

Our sports teams include: Football, Girls’ Football, Rugby, Cricket, Netball, Dodgeball, and Cross Country. Whether competing against other schools or within our own houses, our pupils show great teamwork, skill and school spirit.

Sports Day

Our annual Sports Day is a fun-filled highlight of the school year! All pupils take part in a range of races and activities, earning points for their teams. The day ends with the announcement of the overall winning team. It’s a great celebration of teamwork, effort, and school spirit—parents and carers are warmly invited to cheer everyone on!

Intra-House Sports Competitions

At Parkfield, our pupils regularly take part in intra-house competitions, where teams from each house compete against one another in a variety of sports and games. These events are a fun way to build teamwork, friendly rivalry, and school spirit, while giving every pupil a chance to shine.
