Purpose and definition of the PiraMidd Partnership

The PiraMidd Partnership of schools is a group of schools working in collaboration to support pupils and their families in Rochdale. This partnership exists to improve educational outcomes for all young people in the area and builds on a history of successful, informal collaborative working between the schools concerned. 

Schools currently involved in the partnership are:

• Alkrington Community Primary School

• Boarshaw Community Primary School

• Elmwood Community Primary School

• Hollin Community Primary School

• Middleton Parish CE Primary School

• Little Heaton CE Primary School

• Newlands Special School

• Parkfield Primary School

• St Gabriel’s CE Primary

• St John Thornham  CE Primary School

• Sunnybrow Nursery School

The Vision of the Partnership

• To provide excellent educational experiences and outcomes so that all pupils within the Partnership attend a school that effectively meets the needs of its children and families.

• To provide robust support and challenge for all Leaders.

• To develop, support and challenge for all staff.

• To improve outcomes for all pupils

• To provide school to school support in agreement with the LA, Diocese or Trust.

• To commit to and support the ‘Raising Rochdale’ agenda to equip every child with the knowledge, skills, values and opportunities that will enable them to lead a happy, healthy and purposeful life.

• Strengthen through Partnership to raise achievement for every child in our schools.

Raising Rochdale.

Collectively we will equip every child with the knowledge, skills, values and opportunities to enable them to lead happy, healthy, and purposeful lives. Through effective communication of a shared vision, all schools in Rochdale will uphold a shared ambition that will:

• Ensure no child is left behind

• Be collectively accountable for improving the life chances of all Rochdale children.

• Know, value and support every child to achieve.

• Create a sense of hope and belonging in all our settings, where children are proud of the present and ambitious for their future.

• Provide welcoming learning communities which build positive relationships with children and their families.

Sub groups made up of staff from each of the member schools meet on a regular basis to support each other develop in specific aspects of primary education. Sub groups that meet (or have previously met) include: EYFS, SEND, Phonics, English, Year 6, Safeguarding, Deputy Headteachers, Maths, Year 2, Assessment, Computing, School Admin/GDPR, NQT/RQT, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Stem/Science, SRE, History and Design and Technology.
