Spanish Culture Day
Friday 21st October 2016
Next Friday the whole school will be celebrating 'Spanish Culture'.
We would like every child to participate by dressing in a Spanish theme outfit or by wearing the colours of the Spanish flag...Red & Yellow.
We'll be starting the day by flying off to any of the 21 Hispanic counties and then on to sample an all Spanish menu in the dinner hall.
We have a full fun day of activities planned...
The children will be discussing and learning about Spanish traditions, festivals, the Spanish arts, architecture, history and of course the maravilloso Spanish language.
If your child normally has a packed lunch, they can participate by having a Spanish theme meal. Please let the office know before Tuesday next week. The cost of a meal is £2.00, no payment is required if you are entitled to a free school meals or your child is in KS1.

At Parkfield Primary School we value a home school partnership that continues to develop the full potential of every child. As part of this partnership we would like to hear your views of the school. We will then endeavour to use the information collected to make further improvements and developments to the school. Thank you for spending the time to complete this questionnaire.

Would you like to know how we teach your child how to add, subtract, multiply and divide?
On Friday 30th September and Friday 7th October, we're inviting all parents and carers to come into school and join in a maths Calculation lesson. The lessons will take place from 9 - 10am, with an introduction at 8.50am in the school hall.
We teach calculations every Friday across the school and because of the curriculum changes over the past few years we'd like to show some of the methods we teach your children.
Places are limited so please sign up for one of the days using School Gateway. If you need any help logging in or signing up please contact the school office.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
