We have updated our Maths Passports so they're in line with the new National Curriculum.
Every child has their own Maths Passport to help develop their mental recall skills and agility with number. This is something we feel is incredibly important at Parkfield as it support pupils to quickly complete more formal written methods. Children across the school use their Passports at least once per week.
There is a different passport (continent) for each year group and the targets on each sheet are the expectations for that year group. The different targets are linked to modes of transport. Each passport has a range of questions linked to the different objectives. When pupils can quickly and confidently answer the example questions (from their passports) - and other examples, the target will be achieved.
Certificates will be handed out to pupils that complete a full page on their passport and when they've completed the whole booklet.
Please feel free to practise the different objectives with your child so that they can develop and improve their mental maths skills. If they are quick enough - they may even become the Parkfield Maths Passport Champion (which takes place every summer).
(If you would like to use these Maths Passports at your school, please email email@example.com for editable versions of the files.)
